Established in Perth, Western Australia in 1993, Agelink provides intergenerational
and interactive travelling theatre productions that are based on the recollections of
seniors, as well as top quality main stage theatre in Perth and on tour around Australia.
Material for the oral history projects is gathered through “reminiscence workshops”,
interviews and research. Each theatrical production takes about three months to prepare
and is performed by professional actors and musicians. On–stage interviews with seniors
may be included in the performance. Children or young adults may also be included in the
performance and audience. All the productions feature music from the selected period.
The travelling productions are performed in theatres, seniors’ centers, nursing homes,
schools, libraries, town halls and other venues.
